Tourist Application Requirements for a Iran Visa
Pre-Approval Process
Obtaining a tourist visa to Iran requires pre-approval from the Foreign Ministry in Tehran. Your tour company or travel agency must first request a visa from the Foreign Ministry on your behalf. Once approved, the Foreign Ministry will then provide your tour company or travel agency and the embassy in the U.S. with a visa authorization number that corresponds to your application. You can then apply for a tourist visa once the visa authorization number has been received.
